Structural  engineering is  a  classic  branch of civil engineering that  deals with the design and calculation of the structural part in structural elements and systems such as buildings, bridges, walls (including retaining walls), dams, tunnels and other civil works.

Its purpose is to achieve safe,  resistant  and  functional  structures. In a  practical  sense, structural engineering is   the  application  of the  mechanics of  continuous  media for  the design of structures that support their own weight (dead loads), plus the loads  exerted by the  use  (live  loads),  plus  the  loads  produced  by  events  of  nature,  such  as   winds, earthquakes, snow or water.

Once the structure is made, we  verify  the correct  execution that is carried out  with  load tests that allow us to verify the safety of the structure.
